Finding Gilchrist
On the east side of the Township is the small community of Gilchrist, which sits astride both H-40 and the railroad. Years ago, this made Gilchrist a viable community. However, these days, only a few residents live there. Nevertheless, the few that do are proud of their little town. Even though they have no commercial businesses, they note the fact that they are still listed on most maps as an existing town.
